WORKSHOP

Aan Mansyur — poet and Director of the Makassar International Writers Festival (MIWF) — came to Banjarbaru to share the story of the birth of one of Indonesia's largest literary festivals. Together with Ipa "Avi" Chadijah, they explored strategies for building a festival with strong ideas, creative management, and the vital role of social media. From MIWF's inception in 2011 to its international recognition at the 2020 London Book Fair. This workshop provided the Wabul Sawi Festival team with the tools to create a festival that is not only exciting but also a reflection of Banjarbaru's identity.
